Meet Katie, the girl behind Mittelmade.
I created Mittelmade to help people showcase their experience, ideas, & goals with clarity and confidence, from résumés, cover letters & LinkedIn profiles to thoughtfully designed websites.
My professional journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic while I was still in college. I started working for my dad’s businesses & discovered that I had a natural strength for organization, communication, coordination, and all the little details that keep things moving. Those early experiences helped me build the administrative skills that eventually led me to my current career as an Executive Assistant supporting two Vice Presidents at Spin Master.
Along the way, I navigated multiple job searches, countless applications, & many rounds of interviews. One thing I was consistently complimented on was my résumé. I always knew it would be an employer’s first impression of me, so I worked hard to make sure it didn’t simply list what I had done, it clearly showed what I was capable of doing.
My goal was to create a résumé & cover letter strong enough to get me into the room. Once I earned the interview, I could bring my experience, personality, and potential to life.
That belief became the heart of Mittelmade. I want to help others recognize the value of their experiences & turn them into a clear, polished, &authentic professional story. Whether you’re applying for your next opportunity, making a career change, or bringing a new business idea online, I’ll help ensure your first impression reflects everything you have to offer.
A little more about me.
I graduated from the University at Albany, where I studied Homeland Security and minored in Spanish. Outside of work, I love traveling, exploring new places, rooting for my favorite sports teams (Mets, Dolphins, Knicks) & finding new ways to challenge myself. Right now, that means learning French & continuing to grow both personally and professionally.

The Heart Behind the Work
I know firsthand how overwhelming & discouraging the job search can feel. I spent over a year and a half searching for my first full-time role, & during that time, I learned just how important it is to have a résumé and cover letter that truly represent who you are and what you bring to the table. I knew that if I could get the interview, I could confidently speak about my experience – but first, I needed my application to get me through the door.
That experience pushed me to really hone my résumé-writing skills & learn how to showcase experience in a way that feels polished, intentional, & still true to the person behind it. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to help friends and family do the same, highlighting strengths they may not have recognized in themselves, finding the right words to tell their stories, & helping them feel more confident putting themselves out there.
My love for this work goes beyond résumés and cover letters. My interest in website design actually began when I was a teenager, when I helped create a website for my ballet studio. I always hoped I would have the opportunity to do something similar again, & years later, I found my way back to it while supporting my father and his business partner as their businesses grew. Since then, I’ve helped create, manage, and enhance two of their websites, both linked on the samples page. It reminded me how much I love taking someone’s ideas, understanding what they want to communicate, & turning that vision into something polished that they’re proud to share.
At the heart of Mittelmade is simply my love for helping people. A job search can be one of the most stressful and uncertain seasons of someone’s life. It’s easy to become discouraged, question yourself, or feel like your experience isn’t coming across the way you know it should. I’ve been there.
